Remove A/C

Remove A/C

Hi, I've removed the a/c on 69 cutlass and just wondering if u can remove I suppose the base which is attached to the actuall engine bay, please excuse the poor car talk I'm new, thankyou

Yes you can. I used this one on my '71.

OPGI also sells one, but I felt it was a bit lacking in the looks department.

Although you have to drill your own mounting holes, it does fit pretty decent. You may also have to grind down a corner of the flapper door frame. That will be pretty obvious to see when you try to fit the plate onto the firewall.
You will also have to cut out/drill a hole for the blower motor relay, that can go anywhere as long as it's in the air flow of the plate.
