rearend swap?

rearend swap?

hey all my fellow Olds enthusiast im new to the site and i am seeking some answers for my differential swap. As of now i have a 10 bolt 7.5 one wheel wonder with 2.14 highway gears i want to swap

i wanted to know if this posi unit would fit in my rear end because of the spline size

Welcome to the site.

Run, don't walk, away from that unit. It's the Eaton Gov-Lock used in S-trucks. The way it works is that it lets one wheel spin until it gets going fast enough for centrifugal force to move the weight outwards, at which point it locks up with a big THUNK. Not what you want for a performance car.

There are lots of posi units available for that axle. If you are looking for an inexpensive wrecking yard option, look under third gen F-body cars.
