Naw, you've been pounding your keyboard too long. It's not that expensive. Wait, yes it is. I bought one of these of ebay a couple years back for around 15.00 + shipping. I could handle that.

Some of those bidders must be powerful rich, or brainless to want it that bad.

$20 says it's a shill bidder bidding on his own item against 1 interested party.
Then when they outbid the interested party, they will email them and say
the winning bidder defaulted, so they'll give it to him for his last bid.

Happens more then people realize. Ebay scammers.
I haven't bid on anything in years......I only snipe auctions at the very end.

If I remember the prices correctly,

nos air filter $682

nos door striker post $426

nos disc brake backing plates,just under $1000

The last one sold for 255 bucks , seen them go for more, probably an Olds guy.
They pay as much as the 'vette guys for stuff, whoever they are?
The big-eared early caps go for twice as much.
You do a million dollar resto what's a few more bucks?
You could right a book on the correct radiator caps, I sure wouldn't want to.
