I am thinking about setting up a chat server that anyone can log into for free for some real time car or whatever based chat. I dont have enough car friends where I am at and I am the only one with an olds. I am thinking about setting up either an IRC server or just a channel on an existing server would be dandy would any fellow car guys calls be interested in learning how to do this?? I would be up for setting it up and helping people figure it out or there maybe other mediums more suitable. I can literally talk about cars and bs all day long.

 

A Skype group may be a good alternative too. That would be my primary "go to" solution for something like that these days. I haven't used IRC in years now.

 

That might work too I just love IRC VI ill start a channel on irc.rizon.net #classicolds to start i pretty much leave the tower and IRC on all the time these days.

We used to have a system in place on this site. No one used it much and it was removed.

 

too bad I enjoy talking cars and tinkering. I have the channel setup and Ill idle in there 24/7 i try and check it atleast once an hour so if you come on and i dont answer just leave it open VI or I will be in there i am sure.
