Ram Air hood after market 1972

Can somebody tell me the diffeence between a 1970 and 1972 ram air hood? Will a 1970 hood fit a 1972? The hoods at parts place have steel and fiberglass. Are they good?

The 70 hood is straight across from the edge of the hood tooth to the corner, the 71-72 is a notch type shape there is no tooth but the hood dips down at that area then notches up around the grille then back down again at the corner. They do not interchange. Hope that helps I think I just confused myself

I have a parts place steel framed 70 hood( I don't think they have a steel framed 71-72) seems okay not nearly as nice as Thorntons of course but I paid about $2000 less than a Thorntons for it so...

To put a 1970 hood onto a 1972 car you'd need to change the radiator core support, grills, headlights, etc. pretty much everything but the bumper and the fenders. Below is a couple photos to show what Eric was describing. These both are the passenger side headlights and the edge of the grill. It got dark on me before I thought to photograph the area between the grills. John
