He's not lucky. Just won't throw money into something until he knows it's worth it. Watch some of the engine rebuilds he does. He knows his ****.

Yes, the guy is no dummy and knows what he's doing. Ironically, the best videos are those in which everything goes wrong and the car fights him at every step.

The day that I would throw cash at a 79 FoRd 🥴 anything? Shoot me first please. That car was a piece of 💩 the day it was built. This isn't a ford site...

lol, I have done some shady things on a car just to see if it would go. My 4 speed Jetfire when I got it had not ran for 41 years and had no idea why it was parked. I was able to get it to fire up after some work but was obvious it had stuck lifters. I was not going to spend money on it so I pulled the lifters and tried to rebuild them. They were stuck so bad I ended up heating some of them up very hot to get them apart and use guts from other lifters on some of them. Didn't even change the valley pan, just put sealer on it. Put it back together and run perfect for 300 to 400 miles till I restored the car. I don't think I would have went to that much work on the car he is doing though.

The reason I said he got lucky was because of some of the hair brained things he did .
Putting a 40 year old tire on the left front , where if it blows out , and could pull you into the opposite lane of traffic .
Is pretty harebrained .

yes. Pretty hair brained. His disclaimer in the beginning kind of says it all.

This reminds me of my 72 when I first got it . Sat 20 years did a little work to it and drove it down the interstate 90 miles to my house. Top down mouse nests a flying but no mechanical issues!

I much prefer seeing someone tinkering with a garbage car than someone obsess over a collectable car, chalk marks and fan belt datecodes. The guy makes very entertaining videos, but to each his own.

Agree completely, nearly every Ford from the early 70's on, looked and ran terrible. They were all law suit bad, our family owned a few of the duds from that time period, 76 1/2 ton, 78 Fairmount and 79 Zephyr. Dad didn't own another Ford product for 20 years because of how bad they were, he owned Ford's since the early days, he had a 56 Ford Crown Victoria 2 dr with the 312 Y block, a really good car in his words. This is nothing, my Uncle got a 1940 Dodge 1 ton with the indestructible flat 6, I know that from personal experience, that sat for 40 years, fresh gas and a new battery and it ran.
