Radio Bracket

I have a 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme with an AM Mono radio. The assembly manual shows one bracket and one hanger that suport the radio. I do not see the hanger on my radio, only the bracket. How necessary is the hanger and where can I get one?

It's a flexible plastic strap that most times is broken or cut. If you look up to your center AC outlet or block off plate, you'll likely see the remnants of yours. Not the most necessary piece, IMO.

Search "Cutlass Radio Strap" on ebay - Inline Tube has them.

Thanks for the help. Looking at the picture in the Assembly Manual I thought it waw a metal bracket.
