questions

I am thinking about selling my 72 cutlass 4 door sedan but dont know what to ask for it.its been a really good car it just needs some paint and very little bodywork,the engine is still in real good shape still holds good oil pressure and runs like a top.floorpans ,carpet is in real good shape the head liner is emmaculent.the tranny shifts excellent.i have owned this car 6 years and havent driven much it has 146000 miles ive never hotrodded it any suggestios would be great thanx.

Four-door sedans are just not anywhere near as popular as the two-door styles. In '72, the four-door sedan was offered in the base Cutlass line. We haven't seen photos, but given that it needs body work and paint, it is not in show car condition. The Old Cars Price Guide lists a value for this car in this condition at about $3,000, but you may have to advertise for a while to find someone who wants to buy it. Good luck.

my 2 cents

Post some pics & a location.The nicest 4 door sedan on the planet would likely bring about $6K. If it runs & drives it is worth $500. So there are your bookends. Be realistic when you set a price. The market for his body style is rather limited.

You need someone to fall in love. Then it's worth what they will write a check for at a price that you are willing to accept.

As mentioned above, it's a 4 door, so be realistic.
