Question Question for the forum gods

Not to be the 15 millionth guy to talk about 45 degree and 39 degree lifter bank angle, but maybe someone should sticky this site. Not trying to steal credit for ANY of the information on here. Kudos to the minds behind this stuff. Can somebody sticky this?? Maybe in engine information??

I don't know what sticky is but I just bookmarked it, and thanks because I've got two 425's that need to be gone through sometime and this whole 39 45 thing keeps lingering in the back of my head.

Many prior threads about this come up when using the SEARCH function. Here's a quick visual check.

All you need to do is compare the lifter bore centerline to the block deck. Use a straightedge against the side of the lifter bore (a steel rod like this works well) and a square on the deck. 39 deg blocks will look like this. On 45 deg blocks the rod will be parallel to the square. Don't worry about being insanely precise. It will be obvious.

Thank you for the information. Did some measuring and it was indeed obvious, also obvious that the one table that gets passed around this forum does not appear to be very accurate. It is 39*.

Yeah, I think I post that every time that table gets cited.
