Any owners or experts on here? I'm curious as to whether the wheels spec'ed for these cars are the base 5 x 4.75 or if the Heavy Duty option was used, meaning a 5 x 5 bolt pattern.

The 77 Pace Car replicas used the SSIII wheels, which were only made in the 5 x 4.75" bolt circle. I do not know if the actual on-track pace cars used this bolt pattern or not, since as you point out, the 12" disk brakes used the 5 x 5" bolt circle. Of course, the factory could have fabricated anything on a one-off basis for the race.

Thanks Joe. I have walked around for 20 years ignoring these rims, thinking they were 5 x 5. Now when I think they would be neat on an early '60's 88, I find out it won't work!

Actually, the 1964-1966 Jetstar 88s used the same 5 x 4.75" bolt circle as the A-body cars.
