Theres a 77 delta pace car decal set on ebay right now with a buy it now price of $250 (kinda high if you ask me). Well he has about 6 pics of a 77 delta pace car in his add. The item number is: 160019217564 you should be able to find it with that or just look up oldsmobile decals.

1977 pace car

I own a 1977 pace car and purchased another one recently. I may be selling it and it has a 403. Let me know if you have any interest. I will be probably selling the entire car in case you need some extra parts.

Any information on the condition of the one you may sell? Is it mainly a parts car..or...? And will you use Ebay, etc? Thanks. - Al

I'm in Medford Oregon and have a Pace Car project. Tried to sell it but nobody in this part of the country is interested so I'm thinking of parting it out. It has a good running 403 and a bad trannie. I have a complete set of reproduction decals, the factory decals for one side of the car, and several odds and ends I've picked up over the years. The car has Power windows and door locks, cruise, tilt steering, rear window defog and AM/FM/8 track, set of 5 nice wheels and I believe the factory spare. Let me know if your interested in the car or parts from it.

403

Actually, I believe all Olds 403's were blue...not gold. At least, the one in my Pace Car is blue. What I don't know is if Pace Car 403's had more HP than the stock 185. Some interesting stuff on the 403 from www.442.com ...

"The 403 was made from 1977 to 1979 and used across the Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Cadillac vehicle lines. It was also used in other applications like motor homes, boats and some industrial applications. It was sort of meant to replace the previous use of big block engines in the BOP line. Stock specs on a 1977-79 403 are: 185hp@3600 RPM, 320ft/lbs torque @2200 RPM, 4.351 x 3.385 bore/stroke, 8.0:1 compression ratio.

Olds Sources For 403s
1977 Cutlass, Vista Cruiser, Delta 88, Custom Cruiser, 98, Toronado, Electra 225, Bonneville
1978 Delta 88, Custom Cruiser, 98, Toronado
1979 Custom Cruiser, 98 "

I know 350s (and 330s for that matter) gold. When someone claims (re 403s) that that "some select ones" were gold, I'm just trying to substantiate the claim.

Question I know sometimes at Indy they would also have offical cars besides the pace cars so I was wonder if maybe there were some 88 Custom Cruiser's with pacecar colors and decals.
