I recently replaced my quarter window seal (RS) and used a good donor from a quarter glass I had stored in the basement.

I noted it had a color code set of stripes on the back and everything I know about the donor says it's an OEM part. My car seal is definitely OEM but would make a good petrified exhibit in a car museum.

After popping my OEM quarter window seal off I note it has exactly the same coding. I also have repro seals and they don't have this feature.

For the hardcore folks who like documentation I'm posting a picture of the stripes ( green and red) for your consideration.
