Pypes downpipes

Looking to see if anyone has any experience with the Pypes Stainless steel downpipes DOF10S from Summit or many other vendors. These will bolt directly to your factory manifolds and increasing the pipe size to 2 1/2 inches. From some of the reviews people are saying the the passenger side fits great however the driver side is too large. These aren't all the reviews but there are multiple of these claims. My exhaust has started to make a little noise after 40 + years and I am looking to stay with factory manifolds. Seems like these would be a great fit/idea. Thanks in advance!

My 69 Cutlass with a 70 455 4 speed with W & Z mainfolds:
The passenger side fit perfect
The Drivers side was way off. I complained to the point they sent me a 2nd one free which was exactly the same, which I still have. I offered to send the original pipe back on there shipper but the said no.
I had a custom exhaust shop cut & bend & reweld the Pypes to fit.
The problem was the the connection angle at the pipe & manifold would not lay flush and there was about a 1/4" GAP, so they cut the pipe to change the angle leading up to the manifold +-

I ran these for a few years and had no problems. Bolted right up. First connected them to my W/Z's ('69 400G) and then to a set of Thornton short tubes. No problems whatsoever. Just put a set of long tubes on the car and removed them.

Interesting to see the variance in compatibility. Maybe purchasing through Amazon for ease of return just incase.

I think mine hit the control arm mount on drivers side. They worked with a few minor dimples/flattening in that area but it's tight.

Small block or big block? On my 68 350 the blare on the ds pipe was too large and wouldn't seal. Had to cut off and weld on a smaller flare. As others said it is tight to the control arm but doesn't cause issues.

I JUST hooked these up on my freshly restored 65.
I have Thorton repro exhaust manifolds, and experienced zero problems.
