Production of the '70 Cutlass S Sports Coupe totaled 10,677 for those that came with a V-8 and 484 for those that came with a Six. There's no breakdown by how many had a particular transmission (nor other option and option combinations that people often would like to know). Those records weren't kept (that I know of). Oldsmobile is famous for not keeping production records the way other GM divisions and other manufacturers did.

I was afraid that would be the answer . Wish there was an OHS to mirror the PHS! Thanks.

I think there may be documentation on this but I don't have it.

There WAS an Oldsmobile History Center in Lansing for a number years, but it came into existence only in 1987 (due to the efforts of a couple of then recently retired Oldsmobile employees), which was well after the era for which so many of us would like information. There was also an Olds Heritage Center which opened in 1999 but closed in September 2001 due mainly to lack of support, which is probably not surprising given that, between 1999 and 2001, the demise of Oldsmobile was announced by GM. The exhibits it had were donated to the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum.

The History Center was moved to suburban Detroit in 2003 and became part of the new GM Heritage Center, which is still in existence now and which is probably as close as we're ever likely to come, apparently, to any kind of GM-supported Oldsmobile History/Heritage Center now.

I can give something close. Can't break it down to Cutlass S Sports Coupes, but can give you by Cutlass S Holiday Coupe *and* Cutlass S Sports Coupe combined (3600 series).
Approx 1500 M20 Wide Ratio
Approx 1450 M21 Close Ratio
And that would include the ones with the W31 option.

I assume that would also include the Rallye 350?

Yes. I mean to say that it did not exclude any Cutlass S cars.
