Power brake Vacuum hose

1966 442
This may seen trivial to most, however, Is there anything unique to the Vacuum hose for power brakes on a 66 442? Any Ribs, markings, etc. Looking for assembly line correct. If so who is reproducing a good example?

If it is anything like 62 and 63 then it has SWAN ink stamps about every 6 inches. Ours are not ribbed but has a larger OD (thicker wall size) than a typical vacuum line. Not sure if it applies to 1966 or not.

Go to NAPA and tell them you want vacuum brake hose. That will make sure you got the correct stuff with correct thickness. It’s DOT rated. Don’t use fuel hose. Also by 70-72 they were using black pinch clamps. So many supply red or green sized. That is just not correct. I don’t know what cosmos ore 70 used.

I bought this. May not be factory correct, & made in Mexico, but I trust Gates.
