Post your dealer name and zone code

Just found another one yesterday while doing some historical research on my '68 4-4-2 in Wenatchee WA. Don't have the dealer code but the name and address are listed below, plus a couple of pictures below as the site exists today (Nissan dealership). Westby Olds came into existance in 1965 or 1966. They later moved to the corner of 9th and Miller in Wenatchee. I don't know when they closed their doors but the 9th and Miller site is now occupied by Sangster Motors, which sells Buicks and GMC pick-ups. The Oldsmobile dealership in Wenatchee before 1966 was Pohlman Motors at 135 S. Wenatchee Avenue.
Bud Westby
Oldsmobile, Buick, Opel Kadett
901 N. Mission (corner of N. Mission and 9th)
Wenatchee WA
E. O. "Bud" Westby, President

Hello all contributors to this important Oldsmobile historical data base. Jason and Kurt now have the complete dealer code list for Oldsmobile. I was able to find a complete era 1980 list. Kurt plans to post the information on a website for all to benefit. This started when I wanted an accurate window sticker and could not find Hansel Oldsmobile in Fullerton. This is the original dealership for my 1970 442 w-30 that is being restored and will be at the Nationals. Thanks to Jim Stohlman for providing the list and keeping it all these years.....
Lee
p.s........I think we now have a better data base than the buick and pontiac clubs.......

Lee made a huge discovery with the 1980 list. My plans are to take the dealers Ive collected, close to 500, and plug them in where they are missing on the 1980 list. Mine are from the early 60s to the mid 70s. The 1980 list is missing some altogether and some lines with are labeled OPEN. The open spaces have a location and code but no name. I can fill in some of these with dealer names.

Hope everything you need is here, any idea if this dealership is still around? Found these in the locked glovebox when I purchased the car

By all means do advise when and where it is posted. I am sure we all want to see it. Great find, great job!

Bummer! That'd be cool to take it by it's original home, but as many time as this economy has flopped in 46 years I'm not surprised that many aren't around anymore.
So the other information on my POP is the original buyer's name and address?
Thanks for the info

Hejhl Olds
Not sure if your list includes Hejhal, it was sold to Ed Napleton who moved the Olds dealeship to Elmhurst sometime in the mid 80's.
I still remember going with my dad when he was ordering his 70 Cutlass W31 Postand seeing the owners son come around the back corner of the lot in a red & black 70 W30 with smoke billowing out of the rear wheelwells!
Hejhal Oldsmobile, Inc.
100 E. NortAve.
Villa Park, IL
10-381
This is off of the original window sticker for the W31 from spring 1970.

I searched the forum and didn't see it, so if anyone's looking for another dealer to research, I offer "Yark" of Toledo, OH.
[All I really know it that it's stuck to my 'Cruiser's fanny as I have yet to unearth original sales papers or the like.]
![](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/members/auto_editor-albums-1989+olds+custom+cruiser-picture5533-back-bumper-banged-close.jpg)
Yark is more than just "still in business," with stores selling Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge (incl. Ram), Chevy, Nissan, Subaru, Fiat and BMW (though I don't know where Olds fit into that at the time).
I know EXACTLY how bad this kind of research sucks, but at least you're not doing it on-deadline for a boss that favors shouting over personal hygiene...

something is fishy about this one, no dealer code or order number on top right. Every one Ive seen has them.

Just my observation the letters in black seem a little too dark for as beat up as the window sticker is. The black letters usually are the first to fade.
My guess repro that has been aged. But what would I know.

Its not a repro, or its not the Jim Osborn repro. But youre right, the print is too black compared to the rest of it. Really, the print was never that dark.
#185
Well TK do you have the 19-022 that was on the P-O-P on your list? I would venture to say that zone 19 would be correct for Memphis @ that time. Even if the window sticker is a repro, Andrews Oldsmobile Inc would be legit as well.

Back on 6/12/11 GAoldsman posted:
Jim Fallon Oldsmobile Inc.
777 S. Oysterbay Road
Bethpage, N.Y. 11714
Dealer code # 02-133
I guess that info was from his 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme..(NEW)
Back in 1978 0r 1979 I had a Summer job at that dealer but it had a "New" name ; Merry Oldsmobile Inc. At the same location in Bethpage, N.Y.
I would drove into work with my mother in her Sienna 71 Cutlass Supreme convertible who was a Warrantee clerk there.
My job was to help prep the newly sold Oldsmobiles. I remember taking the trim rings and caps out of the plastic wrap and installing them on the new Cutlass ss2 wheels, washing the cars, moving them around the lot & in and out of the service department. It was a lot of FUN for me at age 15.
the dealership was a medium size family run business. I remember the parts manager had a '70 442 that looked stock but he put ALOT of $$$
into his big block stick 442. He took me for a few "Test runs" as he was
allways adding new high performance parts to her.WOW!! that car was the FASTEST thing I was in @ that time. It was good times the Grateful Dead was allways on the shop stereo (WLIR 92.7fm). And I also remember that it seemed like everyone got along, even the guys in the detail shop.
Sorry for the long story I just noticed the address and these memories and more came back...Thanks for reading....

My P-O-P Shows a dealer code of 6-190? 01/27/67 But I don't know the dealer name. The owner lived in Weirton W. VA. The 12 month service validation was printed with Hagan Oldsmobile Cadillac 06-383? On 8/68

And found this card in with the paperwork. I assume it was attached to the mirror? or ignition lock cylinder bezel?

Cavender Oldsmobile
5772 W Ih 10
San Antonio, TX 78201
This is the existing location, the old location was somewhere near downtown. Closed years before Olds went away. This is where my family got most of their Oldsmobiles since the mid-sixties.
Gunn Oldsmobile
227 Broadway Street
San Antonio, TX 78205
This was not the old location either, but I don't remember where it was. Also got a few from them too.
Patterson Oldsmobile
315 Central Freeway East
Wichita Falls, TX 76301
Been there forever. Never purchased a car from them.
No dealer codes could be found, but maybe someone can find it somewhere.
