They were both still lighting up but not really doing anything. Replaced with regular 9012 bulbs, all good now. This is how they were when I pulled them out. I think the weird holy feeler gauges are supposed to surround the LED bulbs.These have been on there for 5 years at least, I never put them on. It just recently became a problem, weird.

My wife and I owned an 03 VW Beetle that would always blow the passenger's side head lamp. I became proficient in removing the headlight bucket. It turned out that the headlight bucket didn't have good airflow around it so the bulb would overheat. I fixed it by changing the ground wire to 10 or 8 gauge. It never blew again.
