Poll: Hardened valve seats vs stock
There has been a lot of debate whether to get the valve seats hardened or just leave them alone. I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild on my '67 425. I'm currently leaning towards not getting hardened seats installed.
The Question Is: Do you believe in hardened valve seats? Yes or No.

I brought my heads off of my 63 Riv to a machine shop to be gone over. There was very little wear and I had not used leaded gas in that car in over 26 years. The machinist told me it was not necessary unless you are driving at high rpm's for long period of time.
