Polishing Aluminum/Clearcoat

The clear coat on my wheels is chipped and I was wondering if any of you guys have removed the original clear coat and reapplied new clear coat. If so what products did you use to remove it and to reapply? Did it hold up well? Thanks

I've never recoated rims before with peeling clear coat; however, the best aluminum polish I've used is Met-All. It's far superior to anything put out by Armor All, Turtle Wax or Meguiars. Check it out!

look around for places that work on over the road trucks.they will know of places that redo aluminum wheels.heck up here in iowa there is a company that has a truck that travels around .and repairs aluminum wheels if say you pop a curb and mess the lips up,they weld em grind and polish em and reclear em.when done you can not tell where the damage was.i have a place about 30 miles from me that specializes in redoing alum wheels.http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/
