POA vs "Cycling Switch"
POA vs "Cycling Switch"
Just a curiosity on my part. On a previous post we started discussing this, and then it just faded away. A month ago I bought a new cycling switch (along with many other a/c parts) to replace my bad POA valve on my a/c. I think that it works fine and does the job quite well for about $100 less than a reconditioned POA would cost. Since mine's a driver, not having a "true" POA under the hood does not bother me.
Other than supposedly being more efficient, does anyone know the differences between a POA and a cycling switch? Here are some links...

guys don't like the constant cycling. And because of this there are complaints of it not seeming to get as cold as with a poa valve. If using with an original steel a6, could wear out the clutch as a6 compressors were designed run continuously.
