Nice. I saw where you can take a picture and turn it into a drawing! Pretty cool! This guy on the HAMB had a pic of his friends pushing his hot rod up onto a trailer and he changed it to a drawing- amazing!!

I really don't understand the fascination. What happened to "it's on the internet; it must be true"? Now, ai is considered a trusted source that's based entirely off information that may or not be factual. I don’t get it.

I don't recognize the baby. That can't be an Oldsmobile intake manifold. Weren't the 3x2 carburetors used in Oldsmobiles one in front of the other instead of staggered?

Its a crappy solution in search of a problem backed by people with way too much money and way too little real world experience.

It doesn't do art as well as real artists. It doesn't do music as well as real musicians. It regurgitates wrong information constantly. It can't even do math (the one thing computers are actually really damned good at).

Technological advancement. I love living in the past so to speak... but a major part of the world is marching forward with open arms. I'm conservative by nature, resistant to change. Yet I eventually after quite some time went from flip phone to smart phone, as an example. While flip phones are still readily available. The current direction is inevitable its just some of us are slower to adapt, while others don't want to adapt at all.

The caricature looks like someone used "Epstein" as a qualifier.

I would suggest not feeding the machine, but telemarketing still exists.

I have friends who still will not use a computer and have no desire to learn. I'm like you, resistant to change but over time I have learned that technology is a wonderful thing. It took me a while to use text messaging on my phone but have found it's also great. I will not get into a long text exchange tho, short but sweet. AI, ? don't really get into it all that much.

I think technology is a wonderful thing also and can hardly wait for what is coming next. I have friends like you all around the US and texting keeps us close. Soon we will be able to communicate without typing.....

Pure and simple, to much time on their hands and a lack of knowledge and analytical thinking.

I still use a flip phone because it can make and receive phone calls, text message and take pictures. No, its not connected to the internet. Its rugged and less likely to be damaged or "butt dial" someone.

And the "a smartphone can do everything a computer can do" is BS. I have heard people tell me that and 5 minutes later they are cussing because they could fill out a form and exclaimed "F__ it, I'll do it later at home on the computer".

Oh, and the GPS on a smart phone used by a friend that took me to a DQ, not an A&W.
Or when my "navigator" took me off the highway 2 miles from where I wanted to go and ran me around in a circle until I was on a dead end street. Then it "recalculated and said turn right. This would have taken me up a driveway to a garage.
On here (ClassicOldsmobile) when someone asks a poster their location and the profile on the left side clearly shows the person's location.

Sounds like you're describing a phone call. Or, if you're talking of mental telepathy, then we're in real trouble unless there's a way to block all thoughts except for the particular one you want to "send" to someone.

I'm among the generation that knows how to work a pdf, so not a computer whiz, just dangerous enough to break stuff.
I rank ai with 3D TV and air fryers, neat, but completely unnecessary. And, i don't trust the cloud or sata mining.

Actually, we are halfway there, voice recognition converted to text.

Possibly because the other J-2s you've seen weren't assembled by babies.

Today you would be arrested for child abuse for letting your child play with carburetors

That's right! Any sane judge would rule that carburetors = obsolete child endangerment devices. Responsible parents should have their babies play only with EFI.
