If they are aimed correctly and have the correct wattage bulbs they don't blind anyone and make it easier for me to see...Now if someone is running bulbs that are way too bright, and aimed too high I can see the complaint.

For those of you who still don't believe some vehicles' lights are too damn bright.

3 lawsuits should come from this: against the officer, against the inspection mechanic/garage who passed the cop car with these lights (never mind the vehicle was supposedly new), and against the vehicle manufacturer for releasing the vehicle with these lights. I have a sneaking suspicion the cop vehicle package may include brighter lights.
No one deserves to die at the hands of a pissed-off cop who, instead of getting the message his police vehicle's lights were too bright and needed attention, got an attitude and shot a kid dead over an incident in which the cop was CLEARLY in the wrong.
But, as happens all too often, nothing will ever come of it.

Guilford thought Frost was driving with his high beams on, so he flashed his own lights. Frost has said he was not using his high beams, but was driving a new police car that apparently had unusually bright headlights. He even told Guilford that he had previously pulled over other drivers for flashing their brights at him — all of whom had mistakenly thought he was using his high beams — and let them off with warnings. This would seem to indicate that Frost was driving with headlights that other drivers found distracting and potentially dangerous. Yet instead of looking into the matter, he continued to pull people over, essentially for the crime of being distracted by his lights.

How nice if the cop would have thanked the young man for bringing this dangerous flaw to his attention- the ill aimed or excessively bright lights- and sent him on his way courteously. Instead of taking an attitude and escalating things to the point of killing the guy. And then getting off free of criminal charges.

The cop car may have extra bright headlights, OR it might just be because cops usually have a couple hundred pounds of specialty cargo in the trunk, raising the aim of the headlights. Either way, I agree -- if that many people are flashing their lights at you, it's YOU that's got the problem.
