Passing gear kick down cable 70-72

Passing gear kick down cable 70-72

Can sombody give me the run down if my 400 is electric and has that switch by the gas petal?? my 70 has it what about the 72?

The 350 transmissions had a kickdown cable attached to the gas pedal inside the car. If you look at the top of your pedal, you should see two cables, one throttle, one kickdown. If you have a 400, you should see a small metal bracket with a switch with a 2 wire connector attached to it & only one cable. I have several extra switches & maybe an extra bracket if you need them.

Yes I could use the switch
But my car used to be a stick will it still be there?

If it was a stick neither the switch nor the bracket will be there. I will check to see if I have both.
