I have a 1968 manual tranny. I'm working on putting back in my console, but I don't see these two brackets in the Assembly Manual, so that's why I'm not sure. I'm not even sure if they are for my console. It's the last thing I have left to do to finish my car, and these are the two brackets left over, and I don't know where they are (were) supposed to go.

With some help from some of the CO members, they helped me identify the parts. When I looked at the part, I realized these are close to what was already in my car from the factory, which were welded on and already had the holes drilled in them for the console to attach to them. Since the ones in the photo I posted initially didn't have holes in them, and the ends are hidden by the carpet, that is what threw me. Attached is a photo of my brackets that are in my car from the factory.
