Parts cross reference
Parts cross reference
GOOD morning all.I have entered the Oldsmobile world with My first 1964 f85 deluxe its a good foundation but as all builds this old it has issues and needs from previous attempts previous owner butchered hood when adding a 2 inch scoop.rear bumpers like paper and both drivers and passenger rear sections need addressing.Having said that and being from Canada parts for this car are non existent. So my question is there a cross reference as to what from other years will fit. Thanks in advance
Not really...although I'm sure every last nut and bolt's interchange has been discussed on here.
From what I have gathered on the body- just about everything forward of the firewall is different.
The fenders, hood, radiator support and bumper will all fit on each other and the side body lines will match...but 64 & 65 have different contour lines up front.
So unless you want the front to look like a 65, you'll need all 64 parts.
Most of the mechanical pieces are interchangeable for the most part...except the 64 water pumps and radiator operate on a different side.
After that it's mostly cosmetic.
I have a pair of 64 fenders for sale if you ever make it down to Florida!
Good luck!

We have Oldsmobile parts catalogs in PDF format available as free downloads here.
Thru 1975 - Oldsmobile Chassis and Body Parts Catalog - ClassicOldsmobile.com
and
1970 Oldsmobile Parts Illustration Manual (Chassis & Body) - ClassicOldsmobile.com
To use it is pretty simple. You find the part you want in the illustration book and get the group number.
Then you look in that group in the parts catalog. The parts will be listed by year and model.
If you are looking for a part for a 1964 and the listing says that the part also fits '65 then you have an interchange
Same part number, same part.
