I figured this would be useful to allot of the users of this forums. I have a 1975 Oldsmobile Chassis and Body Parts Catalog that is in pretty good condition and figured I would make it a little more useful. I have scanned all 1866 pages, recreated the table of contents with hyperlinks that jump to each section, and used Adobe Acrobat Pro text recognition tool so the entire catalog is searchable. Of course, I am sharing hoping it will be a useful tool for everyone looking for original Oldsmobile Part Numbers.

(However, of course even after size reduction it still is about 460 MB PDF file so you will want to download it.)

That's also a fairly useful version of the book. There is a commonly available version that was printed in Aug 1983. That one is worthless, since most of the older parts were long gone from the system or superseded by other P/Ns. An Aug 75 printing is much more useful, as many of the parts were still in the system. Unfortunately, there will still have been superseded and deleted parts - even the Jan 1972 parts book has sketchy data on mid-60s part numbers for example. Still, thanks for doing this.

My car came back from the painter's with a few "spare" parts. Some I didn't recognize.

I searched the number molded in a rubber assembly and in about 3 minutes I had a match with a description.

- Updated Cover, Updated Color Coated Hyperlinked table of Contents updated to show Chassis and Body Groups, Moved Catalog Revision and Suggestions Postcard Front/Bank to back Document, Table of Contents now on page 2
- Fixed Opening of Document and All Table of Content Links to automatic go to (Fits to Page) View
- Gray-scaled all pages from the original scan to 300 dpi
- Re-Calibrated all page images so that you can better see text on all pages, all pages are more laser printer friendly
- Re-scanned all document pages for text recognition so document is allot more search friendly using (Ctrl-f)
- Resolved issues with Adobe Acrobat refocusing pages when scrolling.
- Adjusted all chart in Landscape to correspond
