Out for a Brisk December Drive

Woke up to a cold morning but clear and dry. So, thought yup time to take the car out for a drive to church. Was nice but top up I love when I get a chance to enjoy it in the winter. Hope you all get a chance to take yours out soon for a similar drive.

Took mine out top down. About an hour. Saw some others doing the same. This time of year days like this are few and far between.

Around here (upstate NY), the first time they think it might snow, they start dumping liquid urea and all kinds of other crap on the road. My car doesn't see light again until that stuff is washed completely out of the pavement.

I've buttoned mine up for the winter.....like 3 times! I'm squeezing out all the miles I can before they start treating the roads. Luckily, out here in the country, they can't afford salt; it's usually just sand.

Does that stuff affect the car if the roads are dry?

If the dust from it kicks up it will invariably end up on the underside of your car. The first time you drive through a puddle or on a slightly wet road it will hydrate it.

We try to do the top down Christmas light viewing thing every year but this year it's been raining most everyday.....So well see what happens closer to Christmas. We need the rain more than I need to drive around with the top down singing carols out of key....Tedd

After a nice day of clear and dry we woke up to a few inches of snow. So, I am very glad I drove it yesterday.

neat thread... I have been driving mine almost daily since my rebuild completion in sept I have probably put more miles on it in last 2 months than I did in the last 10 years, I figure I might as well drive it now cause when i'm dead the ride is over these are some pics from today but it says march on a few for some reason
