Kind of an oddball question here, but my cousin contacted me today to say he's looking for a 4 (suicide) door Lincoln convertible for summer cruising.

By (unlikely) chance, anyone know what the common problems and problem areas are on these things ?

 

Yeah, you get guys like John Belushi and Flounder taking it on road trips all summer long while trashing it in a drunken toga party frenzy

 

Almost, but never owned one. The top mechanism uses lots of relays and/or hydraulics that can be problematic. Other than that issue the rest is normal stuff for a car of that vintage, condition, condition, condition
