Opinions on value
I need to get some opinions on the value of this car. It's a 66 Cutlass 4 door that's absolutely stunning. It has 57K,330 4 V high compression,2 speed auto,P/S,P/B,A/C,power trunk. It's white of course with a blue painted top and blue interior. The paint is very nice save for a few chips and scrapes. The interior is very nice because it had cloth seat covers put over the seats when new. There's one place where a cigarette burn stained the seat cover but didn't go through. All of the stainless, chrome trim and the bumpers are like NOS. I couldn't find a dent or any indication of previous body damage or work. The dash is mint and the steering wheel is also. It's a New Mexico car and has been garage kept since new. I just need some opinions to see what others think.
Thanks
Mike

NADA classic for a 66 4 sedan with mentioned options at average retail $11880.00
I am not sure if i would go that far, maybe around $7-8000.
Just not a lot a love for more doors.

The Old Cars Price Guide, February 2014 edition, puts the value of a '66 Cutlass 4-door sedan in showroom condition at about $8000. In "car show" condition, it's about $5,000. Given the few but minor problems you mention, plus the 50,000+ miles, it's not showroom. Probably $6,000 to $7,000, if you go by this guide, anyway.
As 1970cs notes, the 4-doors don't command the value that the two-door coupes and convertibles do, and this is a four-door sedan, which puts it at the very bottom of the pecking order even among four-doors as there was also a 4-door hardtop style that the guide values slightly higher. Hardtops tend to be more desirable and hence more valuable than post cars, everything else being equal.
Regardless of what these guides say, that's a beautiful car, and someone will want it to appreciate it for what it is.

I am going to go with $5-6k, because it's 4 door. They just don't get the love they deserve. However, I would not have any problem with starting my asking price where ever you want. You can always go down as you attract offers. It just needs someone to fall in love.
