Opgi?

These guys any good? Need some heater cables for the 67. They had the best price by a good bit. Also, got to use a 10% code for 1st order (WELCOME). Didn't see any in the Fusick catalog.

Thumbs up

I have bought a lot of stuff from them over the years to include floor pans (stamped in USA) and have always had a good experience.

Good Luck,

TC

They are a reputable company to deal with. Never had an issue with them.

OPGI is a good company to buy from, although their prices are not the most competitive. I usually wait for a sale or free shipping special.

Call them to order to make sure they actually have them in stock. They are notorious for not informing online customers of backorders

Ok, I'll follow up Monday. Thanks. I was more concerned about shipping. 🤞

My opinion is OPGI mistakenly advertises that items will fit Olds or Buicks based upon the fact that they fit Chevrolets or other brands. Without telling you up front, OPGI habitually accepts orders for items that are not in stock. I avoid OPGI. Ask for better vendors on this forum.

The only other heater cables were on eBay, which I won't deal with, and Summit had the exact same ones for $30 more.
I need heater vent control cables for a 67 CS non-AC, if anyone has other suggestions.

Have been ordering parts from them for over 10 years. Yes, some parts are miss-labeled, returns take time and phone calls (which they have always done). I always have done my orders on the phone and taken the persons name for future reference (so I find if the part is in stock or not rite there and then). My advice always shop around (price, manufacturer, shipping costs, how fast do you need it) I’m sure there are other things to consider. They have not done me dirty, Yet?
Good luck

I’ve bought several parts from them over the past year with no issues. Right now they are advertising free shipping on orders over $99, got the email notification last night. Their regular shipping costs are a bit pricey and slow (FredEx) but always packed well and I’ve never had anything arrive damaged.

Summit does price matching, and free shipping over $99

I have told this story before, ordered PUI seat covers from them for a 67 post car. Rear seat covers did not fit, too small, this was from an upholstery shop so not me doing the work. I contacted them by phone... they said, never had this problem before and then got into an argument about whether my rear seat was original to the car, how do I know it is since I was not the original owner of the car, maybe it was changed and more stupid suggestions. Bottom line was I had to order sheet vinyl from them and have the shop lengthen the seat covers. Customer service sucks, but this was a while back, maybe things have improved but I tend to stay away from purchasing from them.

They sold me a Chevelle center link for a Olds. I asked them repeatedly if they were sure it was an Olds and was told yes. I bought and it was a Chevelle unit and when I called them on it they said it was an Olds again. I provided them the OEM part #'s for the Chevelle and the Olds showing the difference. They finnaly agreed to return it but wouldn't refund the shipping or pay for the return shipping. After numerous calls and moving up the food chain they agreed to refund the shipping and return shipping but would not refund the $5 insurance fee. It was a $90 part and you get $100 of insurance with UPS anyway. I told them it was a matter of principal with me and I wanted the $5 refunded, they refused and I vowed to give them negative feedback every chance I could. If they will screw you out of $5 what else are they capable of?

I haven't bought much there. I got a card from OPGI in the mail today: 15% off and free ground shipping with Promo Code LUCK15P good until 3/17/23 on restoration parts only, not performance, tools, etc.

I have bought a lot of stuff from them and dealt with their customer service, too. They are fine, but as others have stated, they can be more expensive than other places.

Whenever they run a good sale and I need some restoration parts, I will usually open up two windows on my computer, one for OPGI and one for The Parts Place. I check for the same part on both sites and buy it from whoever has it cheaper. About 75% of the time, The Parts Place is cheaper than OPGI's sale price, but not always.

Parts arrived today; I ordered Saturday. Color me impressed. I picked the cheapest shipping, USPS Priority, so 3 day from coast to coast is a win. They're in OPGI blister packaging; don't know if the Summit piece would be price matched. I'm pretty sure the part number is very close, though. Got lucky!
