Oldsmobile Dealer sign

Has anyone ever seen one of these dealer signs before ?
looking to find out what it's usage was. Its inside dimensions are 27" x 16.75". Outside dimensions are 27.125 x 22". If you open either end cap, the frame has rails that you slide something in. The rail is 1/8" wide and runs the whole length top and bottom. The bottom portion were the Oldsmobile logo is, is also railed to slide that logo in and out. Top is the same as bottom but has nothing in it.
All I know is that it came out of an Olds dealer in the early 80's or so.
ANY IDEAS !

It may be an older version of this: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...ouette-150758/
Every model year, the photos of the cars could change, using the same frame.

I had a feeling you would know what it was.
These look and feel like anodized aluminum. They would be nice wall art if you got creative. Like you said, odd size and thickness. Maybe a custom photo with a sturdy backing.
Thanks for the replies.

Yes a photo of your own design would be perfect on thicker stock.
