Oldsmobile Chevy?

So I basically have a question that came about after a 12-pack with my buddy. He turns to my cutlass and stares at it and says do u think a chevelle nose can fit on your cutlass? Just wondering if possible?

You'd have to massage the contours where the doors meet the fenders.

As Redog said, Why? It'd look half-@ss'd.

We used to put Lemans front ends on Chevelle's, Firebird front ends on Camaro's... back in the 70's. So I would assume it would be quite easy.

Firebirds and Camaros are a lot closer. The A-body cars all have different fender profiles and often the leading edge of the door is shaped differently. It's even worse than that, as Chevelle wagon and Camino front fenders are different from Chevelle 2 dr fenders and don't really interchange.

I have actually seen this done before. Back in the 70's a guy I knew in the Navy put the front clip from a 67 GTO on a 67 cutlass. It fit perfectly.
But man,it just looked weird.

In light of the other thread about "would you call BS to someone's face", I'm calling BS.
"Perfectly" is apparently open to interpretation. Here's a 67 GTO:

Here's a 66 Cutlass (67 sheet metal is the same):

The fender lines aren't even close. Note both the shape of the top of the fender and the feature line in the Olds fender (and door) just above the chrome strip. Sorry, but apparently your definition of "perfectly" isn't too perfect.

I agree with you Joe, there was a bit of massaging and sheet metal work required. I wish I had pictures from my HS days. And yes the Camaro was an easier swap.

Would you expect anything less from a bunch of wrecking yard rats with limited budgets and a lot of time and warped imaginations.

I recently sold a set of frame pads to put the olds power into a camino. My neighbor has seen the car and says it has 70 - 72 OAI hood. If I get a chance I will take pictures of "IT"
