Olds legend Ron Garey has crossed the finish line

Sadly I report to you that my long-time friend and racing teammate Ron Garey passed on to join the other racers in the sky on 5/13/2020 at his home in Cleburne, Tx

. The multi-national award-winning owner/driver will always be remembered as the first drag racer to bring home a national title for Oldsmobile in the modern day muscle car era by winning Stock Eliminator at the 1968 Springnationals in Englishtown,NJ.
He will be in great company now joining Al Provoast and Loyed Woodland and Willard Wright.
our condolences to all of Ron's family.

That was so cool! I saw the video on facebook. It's tough when we lose a close friend like that. My best friend Bill passed a few years ago from cancer. I was asked to drive his 71' 442 in the funeral procession. I gave that honor to his son Adam and I drove behind him in my 72' 442. I cried the whole way...I know how emotional that ride must have been....Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
