I like it, this should be done more often.

It's also used to keep the scammers away, when you have a normal price on Craigs List you start getting the E-MAILs saying that the person E-MAILing you is an "agent" for some other person and they want to send you a check for more than what it is worth and you can keep the difference if you just cash the check. At least that's what started happening to me when I first started posting on CL.
What engines did GMC use prior to the 80's/corporate engine era?
GMC has used Chevy engines since the late 1950s. The Olds diesel was an anomaly because it was the only diesel GM had at the time and was used by every division. In the 1940s and 50s, GMC had their own inline six cylinder engines, and even used some Pontiac and Olds V8s in the late 1950s.
GMC also had a 305 V6 looked like a W motor That was the smallest V6 they made in that design. They even made a V12 The 305 Was an option for the early 60-66 GMC 1/2-1 ton trucks. My buddy has one in his 65 short step, we are about to pullit and swap in a BBO
with a 400 trans.

with a 400 trans. And as a precursor to the ill-fated Olds diesel, there was a diesel conversion to this V6 family. Called the Toro-Flow, or something like that, it also didn't last very long.
I'm thinking about getting a Chevy or GMC truck for a place to install a BBO (someday-dream stage now) I'd do some minor grill/headlight/tailgate mods to make it an Olds pu.
If your up for a laugh here is a couple of "paint" mods I did on a Google image.
I included the before pic in case someone knows how to photoshop it better.

Had a 70 of each.I'd probably leave the "tooth" in the grill. Heck who am I kidding. My list of projects is so long now, this one will likely stay in the day dream stage.
Still a fun idea (I think)
