Olds at Barrett Jackson

Went to Barrett Jackson tonight and saw many nice Oldsmobiles. If you get to watch the coverage, keep an eye out for a '72 Cutlass Pace Car,
a sweet '69 442 Convertible and a very rare '70 Cutlass SX (in Sebring Yellow) from the GM Heritage Collection. It's a higher lot # and will probably cross the block over the weekend. I'm wondering if the rarity of the SX would put it in a league with a 442 or even Hurst Olds? (with no dis-respect to those owners of course)

Hard to say, I watched it for a while last night although didn't see any Oldsmobile cars. That GM heritage collection "thinning" is a good thing for the collectors, wonder how it will effect us little guys?

I wished I would have seen the Silhouette OSV on the block. It looked like a pretty cool vehicle. And it only went for $9900. The 1923 Custom Touring car that Rck Hendric bought with the racing Aurora engine in it was pretty cool too.

There are holding lots away from the main tent where you can get a close up look at all the cars. The entire Heritage collection was set up in one area, these cars can look pretty ordinary once they're away from the lights and tv cameras.

I saw a '70 442 (W-30) fastback go for $90, 000 at their Las Vegas auction in October. It will be interesting to see what that '70 SX brings and how they tell the story of that particular model.
The Rocket 455 decal on the air cleaner was smaller than usual, which should have tipped me off that this was a 2bbl set up.
