We have many people from all over the world on this forum. I wanted to know if anyone knew any good engine builders in or near Missouri? I want my engine rebuilt but by someone that knows Olds engines. And I dont want to have to send parts all over the USA to get a good rebuild on my Olds 455.

 

J&S machine is in topeka il. Not sure if it was his shop or garage but on his facebook he had pictures of a collapsed roof. Worth a call I guess.

Personally I have not I usually just farm out the machine work and assemble my self. I have not heard anything thing bad about j&s .

 

Finding a good machine shop is hard, finding one that builds mainly olds engines is even harder. IMO spend the extra money for shipping and get cutlassefi or smitty275 to build it and get it done right.

I have Mark (cutlassefi) building mine, I dealt with him prior to this and he is a good guy to deal with, I am sure Smitty is the same way.
It's worth every penny to have it done right and not have to worry about clearances, quality of machine work, etc.
