According to the numbers, yes. Not having the original drivetrain hurts its value though. Something going on with the passenger side door, no cutout bumper, and stripes are really badly done, so are the trunk ones.

It wouldn't have the cutout bumper unless it was a 442 Pacecar. Agreed that the stripes suck.

Real 1970 pace cars will have "Y74" on the cowl tag, so it is very easy to verify reality. As noted, Cutlass pace cars with the 350 did NOT get the cutout bumper.

Several years ago I looked at a '70 Cutlass pace car for sale south of Indianapolis. The guy wanted $9,000.00. I ran the numbers & that car carried the President?? of Mexico I think? I can't find the list of parade guests right now & can't say if this is the same car or not?

Google is still your friend...

Car 25 carried David K. Easlick Board Director. VIN on car 25 should be 34267M294049.

I googled it but apparently did not have the right wording. Thanks for posting the list. I guess my memory or a Mexican president was imagined.

I used 1970 indy pace car assignment list. It was the first link that popped up. These days, knowledge isn't about memorizing facts, it's about being able to write a good search string.

I may have looked at the same car. I know it was south of Indy and the same price. Did he have it on dollies?? I offered him a good amount for the air cleaner in the trunk and he almost took it.

Eric,
I think we talked about this before. The guy had a few(more?) old carriages that he restored? Real elaborate stuff from what I remember.
