Odd looking car in HMN

http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/...tml?refer=blog

$1m parts car and one half-arsed [literally] photo?

Maybe just a bit more effort into the sale.

No way a beat up Tatra is worth anywhere near that. He's nuts.

Ya you'd think for $1M you'd have pulled it out of the barn and dusted it off to show its potential. Maybe your only getting the back half and the front would be another $1M….?

The ad says plus IRS tax. That considered, it is well north of a million. Maybe he didn't want to disturb the patina so that is why he didn't pull it out of the barn. I don't think Corky Coker will be pulling this one out of the barn on his new show.

I don't know if it's worth $1M, but Tatras are rare and bring big bucks.

There is one in the same classified ads for 150k. It appears to be real nice. It is in the Netherlands but I'm sure a guy could import it for less than 850k.

The only ones who got to drive them were the politburo apparatchiks, back then. As far as I've ever seen, only Skodas were offered as hard currencey exports. Too bad. Because, a Tatra would have been a pricey novelty for Western eccentrics

A well restored/original/A++ T87 may(!) sell for around 90-100k Euros. May.

One of the last Tatras built burning out

An earlier Tatra (the later ones had a single, center-mounted cooling fan) 8 mounted in a motorcycle frame:

The first ones looked cool:

What I'm getting from the ad, is that some Indian blanket sold for 1M so therefore his car is worth 1M. Not following that logic but it must make sense to him.

Or maybe he uses that blanket for sending smoke signals from that crack pipe he's smoking?

The only sentence that makes sense is that he's not a dealer. As though we need that clarified.

Tucker supposedly stole design ideas from Tatra. Harrah's collection had one of each side by side to show the similarities, such as the rear engine and center headlight that followed the direction of the front wheels.

A few of those one-of-a-kind Tuckers can fetch a million. Maybe, he's hallucinating his Tatra into a Tucker
