NOS Valve covers

I just happened to view this auction, where they are selling just the boxes... They are Oldmsobile boxes because it was sent to an Olds dealer.

Will anybody be stupid enough to buy these things for a hundred bucks? If they were pristine it might be a stretch for a hundred buck but this things are just trash.

I don't see any proof they are actually Oldsmobile boxes, or for that matter, that they are actually valve cover boxes... The end flaps are missing, which is most likely where the part numbers were... It's hard to see from the photos, but the boxes don't even appear to have a height tall enough for the 69 Oldsmobile valve cover, Chevy maybe, but I doubt Olds...

Didn't even think about that John. Somehow I doubt it will matter.

Well since I am a car guy and not an empty box collector, I will pass and leave these to a true empty box collector to add to his collection.

I think he's a little confused about what NOS means.

These are worse than the NOS Corvette air cleaner wingnut that was listed for over $200 several years ago.

As shallow as those boxes are I would guess BB Chevy. Those are wide and low. But throwing that kinda cash for a pair of empty boxes is ... well, let's just leave that alone. You could probably get a pair of NOS valve covers for that price.
