valve cover breather location
valve cover breather location
I am looking at a set of the GM Performance cast aluminum "Oldsmobile" block letter valve covers. They don't have any holes on them for a breather or PCV valve. There are two Olds rocket emblems on either side of the Oldsmobile lettering that are located in a circle shaped area, does anyone know if there is a "knock-out" in that spot?
What have my fellow Olds fans done when using these valve covers? Any pictures would be appreciated.

I have those valve covers. There is NO knock-out spot,or thinner area to make a hole.I just drilled through one of the rockets. If you can cut a circle around the hole,to remove the higher spots from the rocket, your breather gromet will fit better.
Each person wants to put the breather in a different location,or they might also weld evac fittings on the ends, for a vacuum pump,or whatever.
that's the same reason I never end up buying a used set.I never like where they put the hole,or what they did to them.
