thanks derek.
don't currently own an olds, just a couple '69 chev b-bodies.
i'm here to learn in the meantime.
i looked at a '69 post cutlass last winter, a 350 or 400 with a 3spd manual.
needed alot of work, floor pans etc. cleared the snow away...had a sunroof cut into the roof too.

Welcome aboard!.

I'm a 2-Dr. Post fan too and am also in ON but about an hour NE of TO..

Are the '69 B-Body cars you mentioned having 2-Dr. Post cars too?.

Is there a specific Olds Post car you're seeking...A/B Body?.

Have you seen these recent Ontario Kijiji ads?.

Smile Welcome

Just piping in to say eh! If you do get the bug for an Olds maybe something from 69-72 cutlass would be up your alley. The best place in Canada to find good cars with solid frames would be in the Prairies. The dry climate and lack of salt on the roads really keeps the cars in good shape. My 69-98 came from Saskatoon and the frame and underside is primo.

I am in Sask and my 72 has very little rust . The dry climate is good for the old cars.

Dry

When I worked out there one of the guys I worked with found a 38 Pontiac coupe that had been sitting out in a farmers field for about 40 years. he dragged it home and restored it. To our surprise when he sand blasted the frame and body it only had some surface rust and everything underneath was solid , no holes anywhere! he turned it into a really nice rod.

Cool POST COUPES ROCK!!!

Welcome, fellow 'newbie'!Not knocking hardtops or droptops, but there is just a sinister cool factor in post cars.(the American Graffitti 55 was no Bel Air hardtop.)Good luck whichever way the road leads you.

Edmonton

Ken is Edmonton still considered in the prairies? I guess maybe but on the edge just you need a garage cause your car might freeze to death in the winter

I joined with the notion I’ll research for about 2 years before I make a purchase. I got hooked and have owned my Olds since 10/31/17 2:17 pm.

Welcome from a N.VA newbie.

Frisbee_k9: I have to ask.

How, pray tell, did you happen to stumble upon a thread that has been idle for 8 1/2 years?

Welcome, I'm living in Edmonton but my car spent most its life in northern Sask. still some decent projects if you look in the right places. sometimes it's better to put an ad out saying what your looking for instead of waiting for it to get put up for sale.

Don't take any blame for posting to an old thread. Its all because of that "Google feller". I was researching some Oldsmobile stuff using Google. Most of the stuff was on Ebay. I also discovered "ClassicOldsmobile", and I am Dayum glad I found it.
After reading things as a "guest" for a couple months, I decided to join. Lots of good information and knowledge on here.
