Didn't look at the ad, but a car only has to change hands twice (from honest seller to charlatan to sucker) to "become" matchin-numbahs.

Last time I checked the term "numbers matching" indicated the engine and transmission bore the same serial numbers as the body, at least on cars manufactured when that was a practice. Not sure that Chrysler ever did that and know that Ford never did. Strictly a GM thing for a while.

Looks like he changed the ad. And yes, Chrysler did stamp a VIN derivative on the motor and trans. And, whille it's only a 340 car, it's still worth a bit more than scrap value...

I like it and although I was quite young I can still remember how most of these cars looked like this on the road by 1974 anyway - so it brings back great memories, I loved those cars, I remember watching my sister's 70 Cuda rust from the inside out faster than the grass grew - or in her case burned.
