Nice find at the scrap yard today!

So since the "Man" is on my case about my cars & parts looking like a junkyard, I've been doing a lot of cleaning up & scrapping over the last few weeks. This morning I had the remains of a '72 Supreme on my trailer & I took it to a scrap yard & they hauled it off the trailer & I got my money. Well as I pull up a bit to turn my rig around, I spy the rear end of a '70-'72 4 door Cutlass that looks pretty complete at first glance. So I asked if they'd sell the whole car & of they say no, but I can pull parts. Given my present situation, that's probably best any way.
So my friend & I spent about an hour pulling lots of good stuff from the car & I also spied a set of '67-'68 black buckets in a '50 Chevy truck, so I grabbed them too.

I recognized the car right away from several years ago. The then owner had clear coated actual hundred dollar bills into the hood (6) & trunk (4).. Then he got mad when people tried to pick/pry them out of the clear coat.
Some one had recently stolen the car & vandalized it when they did. Screw driver through the gauges, radio, dash pad, front of the hood, rear view mirror, AC face plate, headlight switch, instrument panel, hammer to fender & roof, about anything they could break, they did. I still managed to get a bunch of good stuff though.

I've found that one of these http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/automo...-shelters.html generally sorts out the 'public complaints' issue. Since there's nothing in view, they can't complain about that. It's a temporary shelter so there's no building code issues, and you can move it about if need be.

deck lid worth the most, as it fits convert. also.

kick panels for non A/C car fit 2 doors also. Dash pad fits all A body non A/C ventless dash, very rare if not cracked.

Hurst/Olds,
I went back today & pulled the kick panels, one has a bigger crack, one has a tiny crack. I forgot I had a set in my shed also. These are not cracked & just need a good cleaning.
Take a look & give me a call?
Scott

John,
Pm answered.

Retro,
They were long gone before I got there.

65BO1,
Thanks for the kind words. I do get down to Cincy on occasion, maybe I could check out your cars & parts sometime?

Greg,
Driver rear was damaged & those fit a 4 door only, but I assume you know that?

Professur,
Thanks for the link, I'll check that out.

Ron,
Deck lid was all bondoed up & the bottom seam was fat.

Bill,
Keep messing around with these cars as long as I have & you will.

Dave,
Thanks, got the kick panels, trunk lid is junk, & dash had many stab wounds to it.

Greg,
I'll check my 3 other 4 door cars I have in stock & let you know.
Just seemed like an unusual request, so I wanted to be sure.

x2 on the "temporary" shelter to store your parts etc. I have nosy complaining neighbours. If all they see is a big bland looking tent, they shouldn't complain.
