New quadrajets

Typed in NEW QUADRAJETS on ebay motors. Apparently someone is recasting the chevy carbs. Be careful because they are listing refurbished carbs along with these new models.

hmm just missing the word ceramic ? Looks like typical foreign marketing w poor translation…..

i would say chinese knockoffs.

for dirtbikes the keihin FCR carburetor is considered one of the best, a replacement costs $500 or more. Within the past yearish chinese knockoffs of the FCR have appeared and are under $200.

for sleds mikuni carbs and fuel parts are pretty popular, chinese knockoffs off things like fuel pumps are availible for 25% of genuine mikuni. The chinese stuff is form fit function replacement.

The first issue for us is that it's designed and "calibrated" for Chevrolets but good lord.

After reading that writeup, there's gonna be a lot of people wondering what kind of junk they've just purchased. And who will also damn the QuadraJet for all time based on this Chinesium knockoff.

Based on what this fellow had to do to get the thing running halfway reasonable on a mild Chevrolet, doubtful anyone could ever get it to work properly on a non-Chevrolet application.

Reminded of what carbking on AACA says about carb design and calibration. "There's Chevrolet, and there's everyone else."😄

You are correct, Lars is one of the best. Distributors are another specialty of his.

With how far the tune if off, good thing they didn't make a front inlet version. That many hours by one of the premier builders is ridiculous.

That's some good info, and I hope folks out in the world are able to find this so they know what they're getting into with one of those carbs.

Wow! The review is quite in depth. I could never get one of those to run properly.
