Need some help with the Delmont 88!!!
I've started this thread before, but inadvertently entered the title as "Demono 88" (a typo), and it's not possible to edit it. So...
I'm looking for anyone with a Olds Delmont 88 who would be able to help me with some dimensions of the rear seat area for a book I'm writing. Also need a photo of the rear footwell. Willing (eager!) to pay for the help. Just need someone with a Delmont 88 and a tape measure. Short of buying a Delmont myself, one of you guys might be the best bet.
Anyone out there with a Delmont 88 who has about half an hour of time to take some quick measurements, and could use some cash??

I deleted your other post, FYI if you want to edit a title you must go to the advanced method of editing your posts. Welcome to the site, why not formally introduce yourself in the newbie section.

Assuming it is a book that involves the discovery of a female body found with its face pressed into the footwell of the backseat of an overturned submerged Oldsmobile Delmont 88, it would be a 1967 4 door "town sedan" model with a "b" pillar posts and window frames.

Style of Delmont 88
@ aliensatemybuick, yeah, that's the model all right. To the other gentleman offering to help out in Texas, unfortunately I live on Chappaquiddick. So Texas would be a little out of my way...
I actually don't know a thing about Oldsmobiles except for what I've picked up researching this book. But I do want to get my facts straight, and that includes determining various dimensions of the interior of the car. Far better to get the dimesnsions right than to guess at them.

Can't help with measurements, but pretty sure Henry in TX has at least one of this exact model; he may be able to provide those.
6th post in the following thread on this site includes two shots of the rear seat area of a police version of the exact car.

Henry in Texas
Henry, if you're still viewing this thread, would it be possible to take some quick measurements for me and take one photo? I'm thinking it would be worth $150 or so to get them. I'd be able to send the check out right away if you could give me a name and address to send it to. If you'd rather reply to my regular e-mail address it's bill@rjslocum.com

Try contacting the guy selling the car in this thread:

I doubt there's any difference in back seat / footwell dimensions between a 67 and 68...
