Need help finding correct signal switch for 1968 Delmont 88
Hello,
I have my 1968 Delmont 88 ready for the road, but the last thing I have to do is get the signal lights working to pass the safety inspection. Initially the signal lights worked, but you had to hold the **** as it would not lock into position itself (ears broken on signal cam). I ordered a replacement cam and installed it, but it isn't quite a perfect fit and the cam tends to "lift" just enough that it doesn't make contact and the lights won't activate at all.
So, I would just like to replace the entire signal switch assembly, but I can't seem to figure out exactly which one I need. My car has a tilt column. Also, when I installed the new cam it seems that the only way to remove the old cam was to lightly drill the flared bit in the center of the cam, now I don't know how to properly reattach the shaft to the cam...
EDIT: I think I may have it narrowed down to a Boyne part number 7805676 - But I still can't find anywhere to buy one...

Looks like you have a tilt and telescopic column with a rim blow steering wheel. It was an option on 88's, 98's and Toronado as well as Cadillacs.
I have to hold mine down for left hand turns.
Unfortunately, the switches are very hard to find.
I'm anxious to see other replies to your post.

Update: Found out that it is indeed Boyne part number 7805676. It looks like one was sold on ebay a year ago for $150. I was able to find one place who carries rebuilt switches and I have one on the way. Collectors Auto Supply.
$425 + $100 core charge seems a little steep, but at least I found one.
