Need Painter for W25 Hood

(moderator - please move if this is not the right forum for this question)

I need to find a painter in North Texas to paint my W25 hood.
Any recommendations from fellow Texans?

The hood is in pretty good shape and appears it may be original paint including the stripes.

thanks for any help.

Call Bryan Vastine in Rockwall. Google him, he painted my car. If you want the best…

Thanks, - name -,
I've looked over his site and it looks like he does really nice work.
I'll contact him and see if he can give me an idea on price.

when I restored mine, I restored the bottom and sanded the top in prep. It was $700 for final sanding/prep and paint work plus the actual paint which has gone up..ugh. The new color match cameras are awesome to get a really accurate paint match to the rest of the car.

Thanks. I'm not sure if I'll do any of the prep work myself. I'd like the shop to be able to reproduce the stripes accurately, so I'll leave that to them.
Did you remove/replace the under hood screen yourself too?

I'm expecting to be in the neighborhood of $1000 - $2000 for the whole job.

I did not remove the factory screen, I used a wire brush pushed through the screen to clean up some surface rust under it, it takes time (a lot more) but I saved the original screen that way. Those are tiny welds and didn’t want to have to try and replicate them.
My painter told me, “you sanding saves me time and you money” my labor was free..hehe
the work is in here if you want to see it…

After looking through your thread I will consider doing the under hood myself. I'm going to see if I can get a couple quotes from some local shops first.
Thanks again for the information (and inspiration).
