Need a lil help
K. for some reason my blinkers are not blinking. i thought it would be something simple so i changed the flasher but that not it so i checked the fuses and nope thats not it either. the weird thing is that the hazards work. is there another flasher that im not seeing?? and when i try to use the blinker the light just stays solid......... something else that is confusing me is these 2 wires and plug that i dont have the slightest idea where or what it connects to.
when your flashers work do the front? when you put the turn signal on do all lights light? a burned out front bulb will make them not flash. if they are both out, it may not be noticeable. and yes, there are 2 flashers, 1 for signals, 1 for 4 ways.
where in s fla are you?

awww why didnt i think of that......i just went to my garage and the blinker on the side of the car is out.......im going to fix that in the morning hopfully....... im just north ft. lauderdale in margate..... im kinda new to the classic car game since your close by you wouldnt happen to know any good mechanic's down here would you
yeah make sure all the bulbs work, that will cause a solid light, no flash (on signals) I use a guy in Pompano, very good, works on all my cars (all the time it seems) check my links page in my web address below for Custom Auto www.southfloridaoldsrockets.com ask for Bob tell him Jeff sent you

The connector is for the TH400 downshift switch. If you have a TH350, then the connector just hangs there (TH350 uses a downshift cable.)
If neither the L or R blinker work, check its flasher that is clipped up under the dash panel to the side of the steering column. It is hard to see without crawling up under there. The hazard flasher is in the fuse block (at least on 72 I know...) and runs off a separate circuit.
Shorting across the two signal flasher terminals with a stubby screwdriver should cause the signal lights to come on solid. If they do, replace the flasher.
If not, then we must dig further...
