About a year and a half ago I got a 260 engine with the clutch pedals and Z-bar from the car it came out of. I thought the person I got them from said they came out of a 1979 Pontiac Ventura which would have made them fit the Omega of that vintage too. But I'd seen the car once before he parted it out and thought it was a G-body Poncho. So now I've got myself confused! I'd like to sell or trade these items but want to make sure I'm telling potential buyers the correct application. Can anyone with a 1975-79 Omega or even a G-body Cutlass compare these to their car? I'm attaching pictures but can easily take some measurements too if that would help. John

Based on the z-bar proportions in the photos as well as the upper pedal mount shape, I would lean toward the X body persuasion..... My G body Z bar upper arm appears to be longer. Also the grease zert favors the outboard lever on mine as opposed to the inboard lever on yours, the upper pedal mount appears different than the g body mount as I can recall. Then again I've slept a few times since then. The prospective buyer will need mutiple other parts to make this setup work, ie: frame bracket, clutch fork ect. The pedals do look very similar though and could be interchangeable. I don't know of any g body poncho's that came with a manual. Mainly El Caminos, Monte's a very few early Cutlass' and supposedly Malibu's supplied to the Iraqi government for taxis. The stick supplied Xers may be able to confirm or deny my allegations.
