So did you get lucky and not have any nuts spin in the cages? even my 99% rust free car spun one cage

This is why I dread this job... Other reason is that a frame off could easily begin as well.

Some details on your experience would be great!

Body bushings and alignments has me confused!! Did you replace the bushings between the body & frame or just the suspension bushings or both?

Soak in penetrating oil days before and pray or you will be doing something like this.

I remember you doing that. SInce I lack welding skills (and a welder), I have no plans to do body mounts. They are not too bad right now.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of what it looks like on the inside would you?

What bushing kit did you use? Where did you get it?

The old body mounts were shot? Is the ride quality that much different than before?

My friend and I have just released the body from the frame on my '66 and we had three of the cage nuts turn. One of them was the rear left which we needed to mount on the rotisserie so my friend who is a body man cut the cage nut assembly out, salvaged it, welded it to the same plate he cut out, and welded the plate back into the body making sure that it was perfectly aligned with the frame hole since this nut will no longer move. He will do the other two once we get the body on the rotisserie.
I ordered my new body mount kit from Fusick and it came complete with the rubber doughnuts, the bolts and the washers. It looks really good.
